It will hold your hand through the first hour or so of gameplay, and then slowly begin to take the training wheels off. Rather than a standalone tutorial section like in the first game, PCBS2 tutorializes elements as they’re introduced, making it easy to get up to speed on how to play the game. The game starts you out with a few in-progress jobs that serve as its tutorial. If you’re starting fresh with PCBS2, you won’t be missing anything by not having played the first game and knowing what happened there. Plus, in the grand scheme of things, this is a minor detail that doesn’t really affect the game’s story too much. But, aside from importing the same files from another platform to keep your shop’s name and status going, there isn’t much Spiral House could’ve done here. ![]() ![]() For those who played the original game to completion, you’ll know why this is fishy to begin with, and it presents a slight continuity issue. Your Uncle Tim relocated the shop there after it mysteriously burned down. You begin the game in a run-down store downtown. Much like the original game, PCBS2 is a light business management sim. On October 12 th, PC Building Simulator 2 (PCBS2) released to the world, and what Spiral House and Epic have put together is certainly quite something. ![]() There had been some subtle hints leading up to this announcement, like a website for the fictional repair shop that you run in the original game, showing its “expenses,” so it seemed like something was brewing. Which bode well for PC Building Simulator.Įarlier this year, Epic announced that PC Building Simulator 2 would be coming exclusively to the PC via the Epic Games Store. The short answer is, most of these games continued as usual. Clearly, the acquisition was meant to bring in Fall Guys, which is very popular, but what would become of games like Good Company, Balsa, and of course, PC Building Simulator. When Epic Games announced that they would be acquiring Mediatonic and all of its properties, it raised questions about what would happen to some of those more niche IPs that fell under the Mediatonic banner.

In the UAE, for instance, the high temperatures easily lead to the failure of electronic components of self-driving cars. "From a global perspective, Chinese autonomous driving companies have demonstrated strong technological innovation capabilities and can cope with various driving scenarios in different climates, environments and urban roads," said Regan Luo, director of business development for WeRide's Middle East and North Africa markets. These companies are increasingly recognized by enterprises and governments globally for their overall capacity to make self-driving on roads a reality. Level-4 autonomy means the car can drive by itself in most conditions without a human backup driver.īacking the achievement is the latest momentum gained by Chinese autonomous driving companies in terms of self-driving technologies and commercialization. With the move, WeRide, which mainly offers level-4 autonomous driving solutions, is able to conduct various road tests of autonomous vehicles on open roads across the Middle Eastern country. This was the first such license globally, giving WeRide a place in history. Timing was at 32-degrees advance, but the fuel mixture was way rich. The first pull brought us close-292 hp at 4,900 rpm. As with our original story, the vessel was fitted with I /-inch headers, connected to 3-inch, 3-foot long pipes, feeding three-chamber Flowmasters, then to another pair of 3-inch, 3-foot long pipes. Our hopes were to make the 300hp mark with just the TPI heads. Since the engine needed no cam break-in, host John Baechtel, along with crew members Rick Stoner and Steve Abbruzzese, had it on the pump and running in short order. We took the revised Jewel to Westech in Mira Loma, California, the site of our original thrash. We ordered the Performer dual-plane variant, designed to operate in the idle-5,500 rpm window. The Vortec engine was never offered with a carburetor, so no factory intake exists, but Edelbrock offers several designs for this application. The real hang-up is that the intake bolts thread into the heads straight down like many Ford V-8s. The one caveat with the Vortec is a special intake manifold-engineers opted to eliminate the exhaust crossover ports, typically found in the center of the intake surface, and in doing so, they eliminated the four intake bolts normally surrounding these ports. They are so inexpensive that purchasing used cores (of any factory iron casting) and having them rebuilt seems foolish. Because these heads are current production pieces Chevrolet can sell them cheap. Initially, the Vortec's appeal was its 64cc chambers, 1.94/1.50-inch valves, and its price tag: We received a set from Burt Greenwald Chevrolet in Akron, Ohio, for a paltry $395. Indeed, the Vortec's fast-burn chambers brought new technology to the basic small-block Chevy, offering more efficient combustion and allowing for more compression. We would also include GM's 元1 Vortec cast-iron units (PN 12529093) that debuted on light-truck engines in 1996. It seems that our airflow-challenged heads do favor a little more exhaust timing, and the bigger stick probably would have put us over the top while staying within monetary and revolutionary constraints. The straight-pattern stick yielded 3 additional horsepower, but the 224/234, 465/488 grind bumped figures all the way up to 306 hp at 5,500 rpm. King also tested two other cams-the same Summit grinds we were considering. ![]() His engine produced 6 more horsepower than ours-a solid indication that our junkyard short-block isn't such a bad idea. King ran it on the dyno with the exact same cam as we did, along with a Holley 650 and a Holley Street Dominator manifold. The result was very similar in spec to the Junkyard Jewel, although it had the advantage of flat-top (rather than dished) pistons. Staffer Matt King tried to better our efforts by actually rebuilding an engine he pulled from the boneyard with a super-inexpensive rebuild kit and budget-minded machine work. 1995-2002 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2L, 1986 Pontiac Sunbird 2.0L, 1984-1985 Pontiac J2000 Sunbird 2.0L, 1983 Pontiac J2000 2.We contemplated the dyno to test these grinds, but then Car Craft upped and did our homework for us.1993-1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera 2.2L.each part is extensively tested and measured for function, fitment, and durability to ensure optimal performance Cloyes parts are cad designed and manufactured using premium materials. From stock replacement to high performance, cloyes has the most complete timing chain catalog. Our chains are engineered and manufactured with precision pitch control for proper chain-to-sprocket tooth fitment.A timing chain synchronizes the rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft(s), ensuring proper timing of the engine's valve events for each cylinder. ![]() Everything is frantic and on fire, and pulling through with your class abilities, limited weapons and ammo, and some good old-fashioned teamwork (and yelling) is incredibly fun. The heavy-duty commando is holding his own for now, but his ammo’s low and he’s about to be vomited on by a huge, bloated monster. The sharpshooter up on the ledge doesn’t see the cloaked enemies sneaking up behind her. You might look around and see that, over by the bus, a zombie is gnawing on the medic’s leg while others close in for a bite. Killing Floor is great at replicating those moments in movies where everything is going very wrong for our heroes. Gearing up, putting together a balanced team, and seeing how well you do remains fun time after time. Once you do find a few classes you like, you can really dive into what Killing Floor is all about: killing stuff with your friends, earning money (or “Dosh”), buying better guns and armor between rounds, and doing it all over again. If you’re into Killing Floor for the long haul, it might matter, but the bonuses I saw from this throughout 15 hours of play were negligible. You can level up classes you aren’t even playing, which is a good touch, but that progress is very slow and it forces you to buy odd weapons or play in ways that don’t line up with your equipped class. So, if you’re interested in a class but you’re not sure if it fits your style, you can easily put in the time of a short-ish shooter campaign only to learn that you don’t care much for it. Combined with the fact that any class can wield another class’ weapon, it’s going to be a while before your role feels powerful and solidified - I’d say around level 10, when you unlock your second skill, which will likely take around six hours. Until that point, you’re really only working with your passive bonuses which haven’t yet scaled well because of your low level. They all become fun and useful eventually, but the biggest problem is that they don’t begin to feel distinct until level five when you unlock your first special perk, which can easily take two to three hours of play. One class is a demolitions expert, with access to explosive pistols and C4 another spews fire on everyone and everything, making for a great crowd controller. I felt incredibly strong and useful, as I did with each class given enough time to unlock their abilities. The first class to hook me was the Field Medic, which passively gains armor and movement speed, wields weapons with secondary-fire healing darts, and gains the ability to self heal while healing others. Killing Floor’s 10 classes, awkwardly referred to in-game as “perks,” are distinct and fun to play, and putting together a good team has a huge impact on whether you’ll succeed. With that mindset clearly front and center for developer Tripwire, Killing Floor 2 delights on the back of its great gameplay. ![]() It’s not a buffet though it’s comfort food, meant to be eaten again and again and again. However, zoom out from the gorefest a bit and you’ll see Killing Floor 2 is also an online shooter with only two modes, two boss battles, and some unnecessary time sinks. It’s a fast, fun co-op shooter with cool classes, satisfying guns, and aggressive, grotesque enemies, all doused in fitting heavy metal music. The few things it does, it does boldly and unabashedly well. Killing Floor 2 wears its heart on its sleeve-a bold move considering there’s no ace stuffed up there. ![]() The song is mainly piano-driven, but you can easily play it well on a ukulele. Only 21% of Americans have excellent scores, and fewer than 1% of them are likely to become seriously delinquent in the future, according to Experian. So, while credit bureaus like Experian name their own credit score ranges and labels based on VantageScore 3.0, these are the official VantageScore 3.0 ranges provided by Richardson: It provides only “credit tiers” in the context of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB’s) definition of an average credit score, which the CFPB calls “prime.” “We … leave it up to lenders and the bureaus to determine what is a ‘good’ credit score since that’s really in the eyes of a lender,” said Jeff Richardson, Vice President and Group Head–Marketing & Communications, in an email interview. ![]() 2 VantageScore Solutions takes a different approach. ![]() also lists the FICO credit score ranges and labels shown in the chart at its own web site, noting that the average American credit score falls into the “Good” range. In recent weeks several organizations have started experimenting with non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on top of the Polygon network. Associated press announced it was launching an NFT marketplace on top of Polygon, while also Prada, Adidas and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) launched their own NFT projects using Polygon. These decisions immediately faced backlash from environmentalists concerned with the sustainability of NFTs. NFTs have become highly controversial due to their significant carbon footprints, as most of them are minted on top of the Ethereum network. Just like Bitcoin, Ethereum currently makes of the energy intensive proof of work mechanism to run its underlying blockchain technology. As a result, the Ethereum network is already responsible for consuming as much electrical energy as up to half of our total global data center energy usage (excluding cryptocurrency mining facilities), with a total carbon footprint equivalent to the size of Sweden’s total footprint. This footprint automatically reflects in anything that is built on top of the Ethereum network, which is why NFTs built on top of the Ethereum network can have substantial carbon footprints as well. Organizations like the WWF are aware of this, which is why they have opted to use the “eco-friendly” Polygon network. The latter uses proof of stake, which can tremendously reduce the amount of energy required to run the underlying blockchain. Based on 100 validators taking part in Polygon’s proof of stake network, the WWF concluded “ each transaction on Polygon produces just 0.206587559 grams CO2,” which is a long way from the 124.34 kilograms of CO2 per transaction on the Ethereum network. ![]() The WWF therefore establishes that there is a “limited environmental impact of minting NFTs on Polygon.” This conclusion would be accurate if Polygon operated independently of the Ethereum, but this is not the case. ![]() In fact, Polygon operates a set of contracts on the main Ethereum network that facilitate essential services such as moving assets between Ethereum and Polygon and creating checkpoints. ![]() #Nft energy consumption full#Ī full lists of relevant contracts built on Ethereum, operated by Polygon, can easily be found using a blockchain explorer like Etherscan.Īs these contracts are required for Polygon to function, their carbon footprint should be included when considering Polygon’s total carbon footprint. We can establish the carbon footprints of these contracts in the same way we would assess the carbon footprint of any NFT collection built directly on top of the Ethereum network, by proportionally allocating emissions based on the share of gas used to run the contract (in Ethereum gas is required to interact with the network). On February 3, 2022, the contracts “Matic Token”, “Bridge”, “Plasma Bridge” and “Root Chain Proxy” used a combined amount of 1.1 billion gas. ![]() On the same day 99.2 billion gas was used in total on the Ethereum network.
